Lagos Football Community Excited As Landmark Football Academy Is Launched

The Lagos football community is abuzz and excited on the unveiling and launch of Landmark Football Academy.
The event which took place last Saturday, at the Landmark College Sports Complex, Ikorodu, attracted top sports personalities, including the Senior Special Assistant to Lagos State Governor on Sports, Hon. Damilare Orimoloye, former Chairman of Lagos State FA, Engr. Waidi Akanni, former Flying Eagles star Edema Benson, amongst others.
Landmark Football Academy, is a project of Landmark College, which is renowned for its educational and life-changing activities and impacts on the society.
According to the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the board of Landmark College, Mr. Oyebamiji, the academy has already secured sporting deals with Fleetwood Football Club of Uk and Portuguese side C.F Esmoriz.
He also disclosed that the academy shall soon become a full blown sports academy, as there are plans to add athletics, basketball, swimming and other sports.
Also speaking during the occasion, Hon. Damilare Orimoloye and Engr. Waidi Akanni commended the brains behind the academy for their visions and thoughtfulness to establish the academy in Ikorodu City.
In the words of Orimoloye, it aligns perfectly with the ideals of the Lagos State Government in giving life-changing opportunities to the youths of the state.
While Akanni enthused confidently that he believes, in the nearest future, the academy would have produced players in the mould of Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Ola Aina and others.
An excited General Manager of the academy, Abiola Aderibigbe Sanusi, expressed his joy and happiness on the launch of the academy, he was quick to say, is ready for football business, even as the academy is fully equipped with well-trained and certified coaches.
“I’m very excited and happy to tell you that we’ve done our homework, we’re equally ready to help positively change the narratives of football development in Nigeria.
“We’ve secured global partnerships, including Fleetwood Football Club in United Kingdom, CF. Esmoriz of Portugal and top Spanish kits maker, Joma,” the youthful and enterprising football administrator added.
