Crisis In ADC Deepens As Kebbi Chapter Suspends Chairman, Deputy, Secretary Indefinitely

As crisis of party ownerships rocks the African Democratic Party (ADC), at the National level, the Kebbi State chapter of the party has suspended its Chairman, Engr. Sufiyanu Bala, his Deputy Alhaji Junaid Muhammed and Secretary, Hawwa’u Muhammed indefinitely.

The suspension of these leaders was announced during a press conference with journalists on Tuesday in Birnin-Kebbi the capital of Kebbi State where the publicity Secretary of the party in the State, Jamilu Mohammad Y.J  openly pronounced the indefinite suspension of their leaders.

Jamilu Mohammed stated that the suspension of the party members and excos mentioned, lack the moral consciousness, transparency and accountable trust to presides over the affairs of the party having diverted from principles and the objectives of the party.

According to the publicity Secretary, the offences which they are liable to includes; taking unilateral decisions, carrying out all official activities and take critical decisions without consultations with other members, poor leadership and administrative inefficiency which has put the party in crisis and backwardness.

The Party according to the Publicity Secretary, also condemned and reject the party in Kebbi State by those they described as ‘Abuja nomadic Politicians who seek to dominates the genuine members of the party in Kebbi State without due process and respect for long time sacrifices of the founding members of the party.

”The party also condemned and rejected the early campaign in the name of ADC by some elements unknown to the party, as it contradicts the provision of the law, particularly The Electoral Act.

‘The suspended members are hereby replaced by the following officials, e.g, Abdulrazaq Abubakar Isah Iko, who would serve as interim Chairman, while Adamu Aliyu would serve as interim Secrtary of the party.” He said.

The Publicity Secretary therefore called on members of the public to desists from dealing with the suspended Excos till further notice.

He, therefore, called on members of the party to work with the interim leadership to move the party to a greater height devoids of undue interference from impersonators masquerading as leaders of the party.
