Jakande Urges Collective Efforts To Build Nigeria At 65

As Nigeria celebrates its 65th Independence Anniversary, Hon. Seyi Jakande, the Executive Chairman of Òdì-Olowo/Ojuwoye Local Council Development Area, joined millions of citizens across the nation in commemorating this historic milestone.

In his goodwill message, as released from his media team, Jakande extended warm congratulations to all Nigerians, especially the residents of Lagos State and the Òdì-Olowo/Ojuwoye community, recognizing the day as a moment for pride and reflection on Nigeria’s journey since 1960.

“Today marks our long journey of freedom, resilience, and the significant achievements we’ve made together as a nation,” Jakande stated. “It is also a day to honor the sacrifices of our founding fathers who fought for our independence and to reiterate our commitment to national unity.

”Emphasizing Nigeria’s strength amidst challenges, Jakande called on citizens to uphold the values of unity, peace, and progress, which are essential for the nation’s development.

“As we celebrate this milestone, let us recommit to community development and mutual support,” he urged. “Nation-building is a collective effort, requiring participation from every citizen, from grassroots to national levels.”

In closing, Hon. Jakande encouraged all, stating: “Our challenges may be numerous, but our strength as a people is greater. Let us work together for a peaceful, prosperous, and united Nigeria.”
