Commencement Of Flights At Gateway Airport: Rep Serenades Abiodun, Ogun People

Member representing Ijebu-Ode/Odogbolu/Ijebu North East Federal Constituency, Hon. Olufemi Adeleke Ogunbanwo (OMO-IWA), has rejoiced with the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON and all the people of Ogun State on the commencement of commercial flights from Gateway International Airport, Iperu, on Tuesday.

Ogunbanwo, who was part of the maiden flight that took off from Iperu at 9:42am, lauded the landmark achievement and expressed delight that it came up on his birthday.

Recently, the Gateway International Airport had received an unprecedented level of certification by the aviation agencies.

The federal lawmaker recollected that at the inception of Prince Dapo Abiodun’s administration in 2019, the present site of the Gateway International Airport was a dump site and place of rearing of pigs.

He added that he was proud of the fact that the airport, which began during the first term of the present administration, during which he was a Hon. Commissioner in the state, has been adjudged as one of the best airports in Africa.
