Dumebi Kachikwu, presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, has accused his closet rival, Kingsley Moghalu of paying each state chairman one million naira to buy votes during the just concluded presidential primary. Dumebi reacting to the allegation of Moghalu that he compromised the delegates, said it was actually Moghalu who attempted to compromised the delegates.

He spoke on channels television program, Politics Today.

Dumebi said he’s compiling all the evidences where Moghalu Paid N1m to the account of state chaimen and the cash payment he made to them and forward it to the EFCC for probe.

He said,” It’s quite unfortunate that Moghalu will attempt to libel myself and my party that I paid the delegates to vote for me. While I was meeting all the delegates, he was meeting just 3 delegates per state. I have been around for sometime now, doing stuff and people watch me every week, so I think it’s unfortunate that Moghalu has to come up with such wild allegation against me and my party,”

Meanwhile, Moghalu has resigned his membership of ADC, citing irregularities and votes buying during the presidential primary.
