Dabiri-Erewa Hails Prof Idayat Owolabi’s Historic Honour By King Charles

Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), has felicitated Prof. Idayat Bolanle Owolabi, a Nigerian-born graduate of the prestigious University of Ibadan, on her historic achievement.

NiDCOM’s spokesperson, Abdur-Rahman Balogun in a statement signed in Abuja on Thursday said Prof Owolabi was recently awarded the title of Commander of the British Empire (CBE) in the King’s Birthday Honours 2025 for her outstanding contributions to the health sector, announced on October 10, 2025.

Throughout her career, she has exemplified professionalism and served as an exemplary ambassador for Nigeria.

Dabiri-Erewa hailed Prof. Idayat’s success as a source of immense pride for Nigerians and the Nigerians in the diaspora.
