2nd Ibidoyin Aina Cup Holds Saturday At Campos Memorial Mini Stadium

The annual Ibidoyin Aina Cup, one of Lagos’ fast-rising platforms for showcasing emerging female football talent and organised by Bulls Sports International Limited, is set to return on December 6, 2025, at the Campos Memorial Mini Stadium, kicking off at 9:00 a.m.

 Now in its second edition and championed by Ibidoyin Aina, lawyer and member of the Women’s Football Development Committee of the Lagos State Football Association (LSFA), the tournament continues its mission of empowering young women through sport and creating opportunities for discovery, development, and participation at the grassroots level.

This year’s event holds in partnership with Sekinat Abubakre, a lawyer with a deep passion for football and a committed advocate for women’s advancement. Abubakre envisions a future where girls can thrive, lead, and rise through the game, values strongly aligned with the purpose and spirit of the Ibidoyin Aina Cup.

The 2025 edition will feature eight teams, six from Lagos State and two from Ogun State, reflecting the tournament’s growing reach beyond Lagos. Confirmed participants include Ayisat Yusuf Football Academy, Best Wale English Queens, Cats Ladies, Ijamido Queens, MJV FA, FC Phoenix, Victory Queens, and Wazbak Queens. With such a diverse lineup, spectators can anticipate spirited competition and an impressive showcase of skill from some of the most promising female football talents in the region.

Support for this year’s tournament comes from a strong coalition of organisations and individual champions of women’s football and women’s development. Corporate sponsors include The Seam Space, Zentry Tickets, Doyin Aina Legal, Olukayode Aina & Co., Victoria HomeCare Services, Lekan Bamidele & Co., the Oluseyifunmi Akinkuotu Foundation, and 36 Lion Football Club. 

Their backing underscores the increasing recognition of women’s football as a powerful channel for youth development, community engagement, and social impact.

Additionally, several individual contributors have lent their support to the 2025 event.
