Any Attempt To Relegate Me May Boomerangs Into Full Scale Crisis, Osun Monarch Tells Adeleke … Accuses Commissioner For Youths, Oluresi, Owa Otan Of Ploting Against Him
A traditional ruler in Osun State, the Olokeolooru Obalufon of Okeolooru Obalufon land in Boluwaduro Local Government area, Oba Mukaila Adebisi has accused some state officials of secretly plotting to relegate him.
Oba Adebisi sought the intervention of the state governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke to nip the issues in the bud before it boomerangs into a full scale crisis in the State.
In a press statement on Wednesday, the monarch said some traditional rulers influenced the officials of the state Ministry of Chieftaincy Affairs to withdraw his appointment letter as the traditional ruler of Okeolooru Obalufon land and Irante land.
He noted that the development constitutes threat to peace in his domain and the state as a whole and appealed to Governor Adeleke to call the officials involved to order.
Oba Adebisi said people of Okeolooru Obalufon land and Irante land and Ikinfin land want Osun state governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke to stand up for them.
He said “the Governor should rescue us from officials of Ministry of Chieftaincy Affairs including the Commissioner for Chieftaincy Affairs, the Permanent Sectary and the Director.
He said “They did not call any meeting, no chieftaincy dispute that could warrant the relegation our appointment and we wrote many letters but we don’t get any reply.”
The monarch said the matte is already before the Federal High Court and the State High Court and urged the state officials to allow the court to decide the matter.
“We serve them court order from federal high court to maintain peace but this peoples did not abide by court order. And till this moment they didn’t stop their plot. They are plotting to take the matter to cabinet as they are determined to relegate us.
“There is conspiracy between Hon. Commissioner for youth who came from Iresi town with Kabiesi Oluresi and Kabiesi Owa Otan. This may cause unrest in our communities. We urge Osun state Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, the Chairman of Osun Council of Obas, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi and all traditional rulers in Osun State to intervene in this matter.”
Adebisi called on Nigerians Senate and House of Representative, Osun State House of Assembly, the Inspector General of Police In Nigeria, the Director of DSS, human right groups, and all stakeholders to prevent breakdown of law and order in the three community including Okeolooru Obalufon land, Irante land and Ikinfin land.
