As the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor of Ondo State on Agriculture and Agribusiness, he has taken on the monumental task of revolutionising the agricultural landscape in the region, positioning Ondo State as a leader in agricultural excellence and sustainability.
Under Hon. Wemimo’s visionary leadership, the Ondo State Agribusiness Empowerment Centre (OSAEC) has been thoroughly revitalised. This transformation has turned OSAEC into a crucial hub for agricultural innovation, technology, and entrepreneurial development. His strategic “ease agenda,” designed to enhance efficiency and productivity in the agricultural sector, has led to the introduction of cutting-edge practices and technologies. These advancements have significantly strengthened OSAEC’s ability to tackle the myriad challenges faced by farmers and agribusinesses in Ondo State.
Before Hon. Wemimo’s tenure, the region faced a considerable dependency on agricultural supplies imported from Ibadan and surrounding states.
