Egbetokun: Why I Now Turned Down Photo Op

The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun says he will no longer allow photo requests at public events.

Speaking at a recent event, Egbetokun who was apparently referring to the backlash over his photo op with an alleged criminal named ‘Fake Dubai Prince’, said it could be weaponised against him.

“This is not pride, it is caution.” He explained.

It will be recalled that Egbetokun photos with a Nigerian socialite accused of a $2.5m romance scam has generated a lot of controversy.
