Lakurawa: Gunmen Kill 11 Soldiers In Kebbi

Lakurawa bandits have struck Giro Masa Community in Shanga Local Government Area of Kebbi State late hour of Tuesday in an ambush where they neutralised 11 Soldiers and a civilian .

According to sources, the Lukurawa gunmen had been evading the community and its environs but were tracked by security personnel to a construction company yard.

As community members alerted authorities, soldiers were dispatched to rescue the area but were ambushed by the gunmen on their way.

The attack, which occurred on Tuesday night, resulted in the deaths of several military officers and two community members.

The Lukuwa gunmen also reportedly set ablaze two gun trucks belonging to the soldiers.

Residents, who spoke anonymously, described the scene as chaotic, with people panicking and fleefor their dear lives.

“Lakurawa came to our village, moving towards the construction company yard. We alerted security personnel, but they were ambushed,” one resident said.
