Just In: El- Rufai Released

Following his mother’s death and critical intervention by some leaders, detained former governor of Kaduna State, Ahmad El- Rufai, has been released.

This was to enable him participate in the burial of his late mother, Hajiya Umma, who died on Friday in Cairo hospital, Egypt.

Recall that the ICPC has arranged El-Rufai on corruption charges and was remanded in Kaduna Correctional Centre pending his bail application on Monday 31, March 2026.
