NUJ Mourns Kebbi Assembly Speaker, Condoles Gov Idris

Kebbi State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has extended its heartfelt condolences to Governor Nasir Idris, members of the state house of assembly, Zuru Emirate and the people of Kebbi state over the death of the Speaker, RT Hon. Muhammad Usman Zuru.

In a statement issued and signed by the State Council Chairman Bello Abubakar Saiki and Secretary, Ismail Adebayo respectfully, stated that the NUJ received the death of the Speaker with shock at this period when his service to the people of the state is much more needed.

The council recalled that the late speaker had left an indelible marks that would be difficult to erase in the discharge of his legislative duties while serving as speaker of the state house of assembly.

“He would, no doubt be remembered for the peaceful working relationship that existed between the executive and the legislative arms of government in kebbi State and his meaningful legislation that made significant impact in the lives of people of Kebbi State.

“While praying Allah to grant his family and Kebbi State Government the fortitude to bear the loss,  We pray Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannah Firduasi.” The statement read.
