Kebbi ADC Condemns Attack,Persecution Of Members

Kebbi State chapter of the African Democratic Congress has strongly sent a strong warning to the State Government and the State Judiciary over what they term as unnecessary molestation, intimidation, percecutions of its members across the State.
Addressing a Press Conference on Sunday in Birnin-Kebbi office of the party the State Secretary, Alhaji Abubakar Kalgo expressed deep concerns about the development as he reeled out patterns of using judicial processes to persecute notable members of the party.

Abubakar Kalgo stated that members such as Umar Abubakar a.k.a Abu Yarima, was detained for 25 days over alleged of political statement on social media. His case was never heard before bail was granted.
Hussaina Ahmed Jega was detained from 20th January to 10th April, 2026 , she was released based on her health condition. Nasiru Garba Hamisu was arrested in Lagos, brought to Kebbi, and detained for over two months, of which his case was never heard.
Another member detained in the same circumstances was Umar Yakubu Kamba a.k.a Dangote.
He was granted bail, which was later revoked without breach of conditions. The next person was Engineer Safiyanu Bala, who was subjected to repeated arrangement attempts and is currently on admission to a health facility in Birnin-Kebbi.
“In the light of the aforementioned, we resolved to initiate formal appeal and petitions to the National Judicial Council (NJC), Kebbi State Judicial Service Commission, International Human right Commission, Amnesty International and the United States Department of Justice.” He said.
