2027: APC Governors Remove Uzodinma As Forum Chair

Twenty out of the thirty-one governors on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, have removed its chairman and governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma.

This was done shortly after submitting the nomination forms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu who is out of the country on a three-nation tour.

Indication that all may not be well among the APC Governors emerged shortly before its National convention when Uzodinma who had earlier been appointed as the chairman was removed for Aminu Masari, former Governor of Katsina state on the excuse of geo-political balancing.

Also, the speculation that Uzodinma is planning to take over Osita Usinaso’s Imo West senatorial seat in anticipation of contesting for the senate presidency in 2027 has also become an issue of concern among his colleagues.
