RCCG Declares 3-Day ‘Warfare’ Prayer Rally Against Insecurity, Hardship In Nigeria
Disturbed by the incessant killings and kidnappping across the country, the Redeemed Christian Church of God has directed all its parishes worldwide to participate in a three-day national fasting, prayer and rally programme over the worsening insecurity, killings and economic hardship in Nigeria.
The programme, organised under the umbrella of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, is scheduled to hold from May 22 to May 24, 2026, with the theme, “The Consuming Fire.”
In a directive signed by Pastor Oladele A. Balogun and circulated across RCCG provinces and parishes, the church leadership said the exercise became necessary due to the “prevailing insecurity, bloodshed, economic hardship, persecution, and other disturbing developments in the nation.”
The church instructed all members to actively participate in the fasting and prayer sessions, while regions, provinces, zones and parishes were directed to ensure massive mobilisation.
According to the directive, prayer points for the programme would focus on peace and unity in Nigeria, divine protection for citizens, an end to bloodshed, terrorism and insecurity, economic recovery, justice for the oppressed, preservation of innocent lives, and spiritual revival in the Church.
The statement further disclosed that all RCCG parishes worldwide would organise rallies within their various communities on Sunday, May 24, 2026.
Churches were instructed to display placards with inscriptions such as “No to Insecurity,” “Stop the Killings,” “No to Economic Hardship,” “Nigeria Must Be Safe,” “End Bloodshed in Nigeria,” and “Protect the Innocent.”
Other approved inscriptions include “Enough is Enough,” “Save Nigeria from Terror,” “We Deserve Peace,” “United Against Violence,” “Peace and Security Now,” and “Justice for the Oppressed.
”The church leadership described the directive as urgent and called for immediate dissemination across all RCCG structures globally.
“This directive should be treated with utmost urgency and disseminated to all and sundry without delay,” the statement added.
