SDP Crisis: Supreme Court Sacks Shehu Gabam

The Supreme Court on Friday has ended the leadership crisis rocking the Social Democratic Party, SDP, by setting aside the Court of Appeal judgment relied upon by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to reinstate Shehu Gabam.

The apex Court in a suit SC/CV/229/2026 unanimously sets aside the Court of Appeal judgement.

Recall that Shehu Gabam had earlier expelled the SDP presidential candidate, Prince Adewole Adebayo and members of the National Working Committee to pave way for its own team.
