Dr Olatunbosun, a political veteran, started as a councillor in 1989 under the NCPC.

In 2007, he was the candidate of the Fresh Democratic Party at the Ikeja federal constituency.

Also, in 2017, he emerged as the chairman of the defunct Progressives Peoples Congress, PPC, and later emerged as the senatorial candidate for Lagos West in 2019 general elections.

According to him, politics should be redefined as a public trust and service, adding that the time has come for men and women of goodwill to free Nigeria from the stronghold of those that have held it down since the advent of the fourth Republic in 1999.

” This is a clarion call to Lagos West to rise up and take back their rightful position. Apart from the fact that it’s the largest senatorial districts in the state, it’s also symbolic because it’s the gateway to other countries.

” I urge you all to rise to the occasion because we can not continue with the poor representation of the incumbent Senator, whose performance has been too poor for such strategic senatorial district.”

Continuing, he said “As you all know, the highest office in the land is that of the citizens. So, let’s take it back and begin afresh. The future is open!
