WICCIMA Congratulates Chief Sakpra On Appointment As Delta Social Investment Programme GM

The Warri, Delta State Chamber of Commerce wing of Women Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, WICCIMA, has warmly congratulated Hon. Chief Henry Afure Sakpra, on his well-deserved appointment as the General Manager of the Delta State Social Investment Programme by the governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori.

In a press statement released at the weekend and signed by its coordinator, Lady Ukwere Linda Eloho Poge, LSM, WICCIMA described Sakpra’s appointment as a recognition of his experience, competence, leadership capacity and commitment to public service.

The statement also thanked Governor Oborevwori for recognising the innate qualities in Chief Sakpra prompting the governor to appoint him such sensitive and important office in his administration.

The organisation expressed the confidence that his wealth of experience will contribute significantly to the effective implementation of the state’s social investment initiatives.

The WICCIMA boss said, “We believe that under Chief Sakpra’s leadership, the Delta State Social Investment Programme can achieve greater impact by expanding opportunities, strengthening social inclusion and improving the socio-economic wellbeing of vulnerable citizens, particularly women and youths at the grassroots, across the state.”

The organisation further believes that strategic investment in entrepreneurship, skills development, women’s economic empowerment and youth development will contribute meaningfully to poverty reduction, job creation and sustainable economic growth of Delta State.

The WICCIMA coordinator, Lady Poge, further stressed, “Our organisation looks forward to a purposeful partnership with the new general manager in advancing initiatives aimed at building the capacity of women, empowering entrepreneurs, supporting small and medium-scale enterprises, SMSEs and promoting inclusive and sustainable development.”

Lady Poge reiterated the commitment of “WICCIMA to collaborating with relevant government institutions and stakeholders to create opportunities that will improve livelihoods and contribute to the overall development of Delta State.”

Wishing Chief Sakpra a successful, impactful and transformative tenure in office, WICCIMA urged the newly appointed GM “to use the opportunity to advance programmes that will positively touch the lives of citizens across the state.

The statement added, “Once again, congratulations to Hon. Chief Henry Afure Sakpra on this appointment.”
