Alumni Network Expansion: Great Ife Association Ignites Global Business Exploratory Tour In China
GUANGZHOU, China — In a strategic move to elevate its institutional standing on the global stage, the Great Ife Alumni Association has officially launched its 11-day Biennial International Retreat and Business Exploratory Tour in Guangzhou, China.
The high-profile event, which commenced on October 23 and is slated to run through November 2, has drawn over 55 distinguished alumni members to the major Chinese commercial hub.
According to an official statement released by Abdur-Rahman Balogun, the Association’s Global Publicity Secretary, the international gathering is a core component of the agenda set by the Dr. Leye Bunmi Falode-led Global Executive Council. The initiative aims to strategically reposition both the alumni network and its parent institution, Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), as global centers of academic and professional excellence.
The delegation features a robust lineup of university leadership and prominent alumni executives. Key figures spearheading the tour include the Global President, Dr. Leye Bunmi Falode Esq (Notary Public); the Vice Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University, Prof. Simeon Bamire; and former Global President, Engr. Wale Olaleye.
Over the course of the 11-day itinerary, the 55-man delegation will participate in bilateral strategic alignment sessions and explore emerging international business opportunities, bridging the gap between Nigerian intellectual capital and global market enterprises.
