After 120 minutes tension soaked match, the Senegalese team defeated the Pharaohs of Egypt vide penalties to win the first ever African Cup of Nations tagged AFCON 2021.
It ended 4-2 in favour of the Senegalese team.
It’s a final that saw the Senegalese talisman, Sergio Mane losing a penalty in the opening minutes.
Mane however made up for the loss as he tucked in the decider penalty for his team.
The Senegalese dominated the match and came close to scoring several times, but the Egyptian goal tender, Gabrisi stood against them.
It was a sweet victory for the Teranga Lions after many attempts at lifting the cup.
However, the Egyptian goal tender, Mohammed Gabrisi stood out as the man of the match.
