Buhari To El-Rufai, Akeredolu, Others: Leave Buni Alone

President Muhammadu Buhari must have told Governors Nazir El-Rufai and Rotimi Akeredolu of Kaduna and Ondo states respectively as well as other governors of the All Progressives Congress to give peace a chance and allowed the chairman  Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, CECPC, Mai Mala Buni to Conduct the 26 March national convention.

In a letter written to the Governor of Kebbi state, Atiku Bagudu, President Buhari stated clearly that Buni remains the chairman of the CECPC, despite the ‘palace coup’ orchestrated by El-Rufai and his ‘ 19 governors’ who he claimed were in support of the governor of Niger State, Sani Bello purportedly to be acting according to the president order as new CECPC chairman.
