Co-Convener of Nigeria Consultative Front, NCFront, Prof Pat Utomi, has dismissed both the ruling All Progressives Congress and People’s Democratic Party as lacking in political ideology and culture, but mere election winning machines.
Speaking on a current affairs program, Sunday Politics, monitored in Lagos on Sunday, Utomi said both parties are the two sides of the same coin.
He, however, said that 2023 will be a defining moment for Nigerians, adding that the country is tired of those with dreams, but want to see concrete plans to actually it.
Utomi, who hinted that his group is forming a coalition with the Labour movement, civil society organizations and other groups to take over power next year, said they will double the Nigerian GDP in five years.
He also assured that unemployed graduates will be paid 100,000,00 monthly to provide services in some critical areas, such as security.
According to him, NIgeria Rescue Movement, NRM, Peoples Redemption Party, PRP, Labour and other stakeholders are working together as a collegiate system to present a common front.
Explaining the modalities, Utomi maintains that political parties in the coalition will be allowed to select candidates where they are strong and can easily win election.
He said, “ Just like the coalition between the All Peoples Party, APP and the Alliance for Democracy, AD, that produced Chief Olu Falae and Alhaji Umaru Shinkafi In 1999, in the next few weeks, we will unveil our presidential candidate and rally support towards 2023 general election.”
