House Of Reps Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila’s 60th Birthday Plans Crumbles As Alaafin Died Few Days To Installations As Aare Baasofin Of Yorubaland

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Femi Gbajabiamila is in pains as the Alaafin of Oyo, His Imperial Majesty Lamidi Adeyemi died and was buried on Saturday, 23 April, 2022, reports thegazellenews.com.

Apart from the fact that the revered Monarch’s death is a big blow to the Yoruba race, Rt Hon Gbajabiamila is even sadder because Oba Adeyemi’s death has put a big spanner into his 60th birthday celebrations.

But for his death after a brief illness, the Late Oba Adeyemi has concluded plans to install Rt. Hon Gbajabiamila as the Aare Baasofin of Yoruba land, that is the Supreme Legislative Guide for the Yoruba race as part of the plans to mark the 60th birthday celebrations of the Speaker.

An invitation card for the event, in possession of thegazellenews.com, indicated that the event is slated to take place on Friday, 27 May, 2022 with the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Presidential Aspirant, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu named as the Chairman of the occasion.

The Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi was slated to be the Royal Father of the Day while Chief Commander, Ebenezer Obey and K1 De Ultimate have been named as the musicians to entertain guests at the event.

But Almighty God definitely has other plans, a month and few days before the event, Oba Adeyemi answered His call.
