Serving Overseer of Citadel Global Community Church, aka, Citadel, Pastor Tunde Bakare has explained why he’s stepping down from the church to pursue his vision.
Bakare is a Whatsapp message to our Correspondent on Tuesday while reacting to the publication that he has stepped down to pursue his presidential ambition, said he’s pursuing his vision not Presidential ambition.
The fiery clergy in a video clip was seen coming on the pulpit with a song thanking God for what He has done.
Bakare said he’s not running like others because his footsteps is being ordered by God Almighty.
Bakare In a farewell message to his congregation on Sunday burst into song to praise the Lord, “see what the Lord has done, see what the Lord has done, what we are waiting for, has come to pass, see what the Lord has done.”
Quoting from the Bible, he says some may be running on the Tarmac or anyhow, he has the assurance of God before stepping into his vision.
Going down the memory lane, Bakare said as far back as 1983, he told his wife now who was his fiancée then when he visited her early in the morning before their wedding on how to walk like a First Lady.
He said, “ in recent times wherever I go, I have been confronted with two questions: Have you declared for Presidential election or when are you declaring? One question put in two different ways. One prominent traditional ruler in our land sent me a text message that Mr. President, you have declared and not carrying me along. I said to him, I haven’t declared, it’s the media that’s interpreting it as such. I was merely discussing with my sons and daughters in Diaspora and they termed it Declaration. When I want to declare, I will let you know because of my root.
Reading from Plasm 19, 1-6, Bakare maintained that the heavens must declare first for the race and everything pertaining to it to be impactful.
Bakare who said it’s time to RESET Nigeria , said there’s no Declaration except God is sending him forth to actualize His plan for Nigeria.
It would be recalled that Bakare was hosted to a lavish dinner recently in Abuja by President Muhammadu Buhari as one of the founding fathers of the All Progressives Congress. He was also at the Eagles Square for the Party’s convention.
