A pan Nigerian group, Nigerians Unite for APC, with membership across the country has been launched and declared its support for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed TInubu, in the next year general election.
Speaking in Lagos on Tuesday at the group’s headquarters in Magodo, the national coordinator of the group, Otunba Remilekun Balogun disclosed that the group was formed by Nigerians in diverse fields who are desirous of a greater Nigeria and can see the hope of such glorious era in the ruling APC, especially the candidate, Asiwaju TInubu.
Otunba Balogun stated that the group conducted extensive research before adopting the APC Candidate, stressing that the candidate’s pedigree, his antecedent and clout nationally was taken into consideration before arriving at the decision.
The Nigerians Unite for Change Coordinator equally posited that from the array of political gladiators already elected for the exalted position’, the Jagaban of Borgu stands ahead of them.In his words “this is to officially announce the birth of this pan Nigerian movement, named NIGERIANS UNITE FOR APC.
This is a group of professionals in diverse fields across the country and beyond who are desirous of a prosperous nation. We are not political, but we won’t allow another opportunity to elect a new leadership to govern the country skips us without contributing our little quota. It’s on this note that, I want to announce to the world that we are adopting Asiwaju Bola Ahmed TInubu as our candidate for the presidential election next year”. Continuing, “we have gone through the antecedents of all others, political clout and commitment to good governance. He is the only one that stands out. We want to enjoin Nigerians support this Democrat, who has given much to democratic governance. His projects in Lagos are speaking for him, he will turn around the fortunes of the country if elected’. The group also urged Nigerians to troop out and register as voters in their locations and vote for APC in the general elections.
