Flood:Orile Agege Community Accuses Sanwo-Olu Of Neglect
Residents of Orile Agege Community has criticized Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for neglecting their area over the flood incident on Friday.
The community who spoke in a separate interview monitored on Channels Television on Sunday was equivocal that had the tragedy happened in the Lekki/Ikoyi Area, rapid response would have been deployed to rescue the victims.
They were particularly piqued that instead of coming to their aid, the state government deployed propaganda that some of the victims had been rescued when they knew it wasn’t so.
The angry mob initially attacked Channels Television Crew before reason prevailed and expressed their displeasure over the incident.
The Community was not pleased that none of their representatives were on ground to assist during the tragedy.
“We are going to Ibeshe in Ogun state to see if the three corpses that were recovered belong to the people who drowned during the heavy downpour on Friday,” one of the Community leader said.
It will be recalled that two sport utility vehicles were drowned in a canal in Orile Agege on Friday with all the occupants.
As at the time of filling this none of the victims have been recovered.
