She was one of the Ministers who resigned to protest the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson’s bad conduct and has now thrown her hat into the ring to replace him.
Kemi’s father was practicing as a doctor in London while her mother was a university professor at the time she was born in 1980.
They took her back to Nigeria where she studied at the International School, UNILAG, before returning to the UK at age 16.
She had degrees in Computer Systems Engineering and Law and worked in banking before going into politics.
She got married in 2012 and they have two children.
