NGO Gives Indigent Undergraduates Scholarship Awards In Lagos

Impact and Inspire Initiative, a United Kingdom based Charity and Non-Governmental Organization with office in Nigeria, has presented scholarship awards up to 11 indigent undergraduates to support their educational pursuits in Lagos. 

In her address, the Founder and Convener of the Organization, Dame Wuraolami Williams, disclosed that it was a divine calling and mission to give assistance and support to less privileged, motherless children, widows, old people, victims of rape as well as the rejected anyway they can be found. 

According to her; ‘’we have been faithfully pursuing this course since 20014 in the UK, however, it was inaugurated in Nigeria on February 17, 2017. It was inaugurated by the matron of the Initiative, late Rachel Oniga’’.

The Initiative was able to identify undergraduates in our tertiary institution that are at the verge of dropping out of university. The NGO stepped in and rescue them.

The NGO promised to do expand their scholarship net with the view to save more undergraduates from abandoning their university education.

Beneficiaries of the scholarship awards were drawn from Lagos State University of Education, Tai SolarinUniversity of Education, and Federal University, Oye Ekiti.
