Just In: 5 PDP Govs, Bode George Meet In Lagos
The crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party has continued unabated as the five aggrieved governors led by the governor of Rivers state, Mr. Nyesom Wike are now meeting with its former deputy national chairman, Chief Bode George in Lagos.
The meeting according to insider is part of the exploratory options to ensure that the national chairman, Senator Iyorchia Ayu stepped down for a southern candidate.
It will be recalled that the five governors namely; Seyi Makinde, Samuel Ortom, Ifeanyi Uguanyi and Victor Ikpeasu of Oyo, Benue, Enugu and Abia states have continued to insist that unless Ayu stepped down, they would not campaign for its presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar.
In the last few months several meetings have been held to salvage the situation to no avail.
