Breaking: Ekiti Assembly Speaker, Gboyega Aribisogan Impeached…. Suspended Indefinitely 

Less than three days after he was elected speaker of the Ekiti state house of Assembly, Hon. Gboyega Aribisogan has been impeached.

Hon. Olubunmi Adelugba who garnered 10 votes to Aribisogan’s 15 votes last week has been elected speaker.

The former speaker has also been suspended indefinitely.

17 out of the 25 members of the assembly impeached Hon Aribisogan on Monday after days of political intrigues that led to the shutdown of the Ekiti Assembly.

The drama on Hon Aribisogan acceptability by the former governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi emerged shortly after the election last week when the house was shut down on security scare.

It will be recalled that Hon.Aribisogan has also accused Fayemi as behind his ordeal and raised an alarm that his life is being threatened.
