Just In: Buhari Unveils New Naira Notes

President Muhammadu Buhari launched the new designs on Wednesday, 23 November, 2022, in Abuja, and the new designs have now hit the internet.

An Abuja Bureau Chief of Nigerian Tribune Newspaper, Dr. Leon Usigbe, first shared images of the new designs on his verified Twitter handle on Wednesday morning.

Another Twitter user also shared an image of the design, describing the design as a filter used to remint the naira as against a totally new design.

The Official Twitter handle of the Federal Government of Nigeria has now made the official image public.
