Ariwoola Should Be Queried For Hobnobbing With Politicians-Adebayo

A Lagos Based Rights Activist and co-national spokesperson of Coalition of United Political Parties, Comrade Mark Adebayo has slammed the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola over comment credited to him in Port Harcourt recently.

Justice Ariwoola was quoted to have said at the banquet in his honour at Port Harcourt that he’s supporting his governor, Seyi Makinde for being member of the G5 governors, rechristened ‘Integrity Group’.

The Peoples Democratic Party through its publicity secretary, Hon Debo Ologunagba has taken exception to such statements and caution the CJ not to dabble into the internal affairs of the party.

Reacting to the statement, Adebayo described Justice Ariwoola as ‘meddlesome interloper’ for dabbling into the affairs of another political party in spite of the oath of his office as Chief Justice of Nigeria.

He, however, said having made such faux pas, the Chief Justice should just own up to his mistake and apologise, instead of denying what he said on a national television with video evidence.

Adebayo further stressed that since justice Ariwoola has displayed partisanship in support of the G5 governors, he should rescue himself from any case involving any of the governors at the Supreme Court to show the neutrality of the apex court.

“For even Eulogising the politicians and type of jokes he was cracking at the banquet, he should be queried”, he added.
