CACOL Congratulates Oyetola On His Victory At The Governorship Tribunal

Friday, January 27, 2023.

His Excellency

Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola

Your Excellency,

The Oyeladeniran Foundation for Community Development (OFCOD) in collaboration with the Centre for Anti-Corruption and Open LeadershipCACOL writes to congratulate you on your victory at the Osun State Election Petition Tribunal.

A three-man tribunal chaired by Justice Tetsea Kume recently in Osogbo ruled that you were duly elected citing over voting as the basis for nullifying the election of your rival, Ademola Adeleke.

During the long and tortuous journey at the tribunal, you and your legal team displayed bravery, courage and perseverance which eventually paid off.

We have always believed that truth will always prevail over deceit and that no matter how long it takes, the wishes of the majority of people will always supersede any form of manipulation by the few who are bent on supplanting the electoral process thereby forcing their candidate on the people.

The forces of darkness plotted to extinguish the able leadership and progressive good governance that improved the quality of life of our people under your leadership. But today, the Tribunal delivered justice and restored the mandate freely given to you and our great party.

We are confident that the good works you were diligently executing that were momentarily paused will soon resume and the good people of Osun will be happy to have you as their elected Governor again having given you their mandate.

OFCOD and CACOL join others in congratulating you today, as always. We view this as an opportunity offered to actually take Osun state to the real next level of socio-economic development, especially as it relates with opening up the state more within the vista of greater physical development and economic prosperity for all of our urban and rural dwellers.

Accept the assurance of our high regards and recognition.

Yours in Service to Humanity,

Debo Adeniran

Chairman, CACOL
