2023: “We Are Not Part Of Any  ‘13 Parties’  Threatening A Boycott,”—-SDP Presidential Candidate, Adewole Adebayo 

Presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, Prince Adewole Adebayo, has disassociated his party from the ‘13 political parties’ threatening to boycott the 2023 general elections should President Muhammadu Buhari or Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele succumbed to pressure and extend the deadline for the swapping of the old currency which terminates on Sunday 10 February 2023.

Adewole in a tweet through his verified twitter handle @Pres_Adebayo said; “Social Democratic Party SDP is committed to contesting Presidential, National and State elections slated for February and March 2023. SDP, a major political party with credible and popular candidates working hard for victory is NOT part of any ’13 parties’ threatening a boycott.”

Recall that there have been controversy over the new naira redesign with accusations and counter accusations.

Three governors on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, have approached the Supreme Court over the imbroglio.

Governors Nazir el-Rufai, Mohammed Matawale and Bello Yahaya of Kaduna, Zamfara and Kogi respectively have dragged President Muhammadu Buhari before the apex court over the pains inflicted on their people over the timing and the duration of the currency swap.
