Group Commiserates With Uzor Kalu Over Wife’s Death

Abia Media Forum (AMF) has condoled the former governor of Abia State over the death of his wife, Ifeoma Kalu.
The association in a condolence message by its chairman, Elder Ben Okezie said: “We, the members of the Abia Media Forum (AMF), learnt with shock the passing of the former First Lady of Abia state, Her Excellency (Mrs) Ifeoma Orji Uzor Kalu.
“The AMF recalls with nostalgia during the deceased time as the Abia state First Lady numerous innovations were initiated for the good of the Abia women, including the young females, aimed at placing them at a higher pedestal than their peers.”
The association said: “The Abia women will sorely miss the leadership qualities and all encompassing programmes of the late former Abia First Lady, all in a bid to position the Abia women in the scheme of things.
“We, therefore, commiserate with the Senate Majority Whip and former governor of Abia state, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, over the demise of his dear wife and pray that Almighty God will give him the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
“We are, however, encouraged by the fact that the late former Abia state First Lady led a life that touched the lives of the downtrodden, especially the womenfolk and left imprints on the sands of time.“May the Almighty grant her gentle soul eternal rest, Amen.”
