Mawlud Nabiyy: Muslim Women Tasked On Nation Building

As the Muslims across the country marked the celebration of the life of the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W), The Zenith Pathfinders on Wednesday, September 27th, 2023 held her women’s day program in order to educate and inform the Muslim women about Islam.

The program which was held at 296, Orodu Road at Ilese Bus Stop, Adiyan, Agbado in Lagos state had scores of Muslim women from various places in attendance.

It was gathered that the women’s day program as observed by our correspondent shows spiritually filled, thought provoking and highly educative lectures that span through different fields of Islamic knowledge and nation building.

Speaking with our correspondent, the founder of The Zenith Pathfinders, Hajiah Aminah Yahya, expressed joy seeing the smiles on the faces of people who benefited from the program.

Hajiah Yahya said the purpose of the program is to get the Muslim women educated and informed about Islam so that they can be able to perform their civic responsibilities effectively for the benefit of Islam and the nation at large.

She said, “Today, as we are celebrating the life of Prophet Muhammad, we are looking at the special things that the Prophet brought for the Muslim women. In Islam, women are special species because of the responsibilities Allah gave them.

“The Prophet said ‘when you educate a woman, you have educated a nation.’ Women that are going to be educators of nation builders, they must themselves be educated. That is why we have organized this program to get out women educated and informed about Islam so that they will be able to perform their civil responsibilities effectively as expected.”

Earlier, the guest lecturer of the day, Hajiah Idiat Jumah said the Muslim women need to raise their children in line with the teachings of Islam since the foundation of any society begins from the home front.

She implored women to be good role models for their children, uphold the Islamic mode of dressing and exhibit good neighborliness to those in their community.

The lecturer charged the Muslim women to build their human and spiritual capacities to be able to contribute to national development.

She also urged the participants not to be distracted by the ongoing dynamism in the world but remained committed to their spirituality and worship of Allah which is the essence of their creation.

One of the participants of the program, Hajiah Adebayo Kafayah described the program as motivative and interesting that need to be occurring yearly.

She said, “The program is motivative and very interesting. If this thing can be occurring every year, it will enlighten people to know more about Islam and know more about Mawlud Nabiyy. The Mawlud Nabiyy is not all about dancing and all of that. It is about reflecting. I thank the organizers for bringing this kind of initiative.”

Corroborating, another participant, Hajiah Mariam Babalola appreciated the organizers for the program and pray for the continuity of such program.
