Abia NNPP Remains Intact, No Parallel Exco -Chairman

The state chairman of the New Nigeria Party Abia state Chapter, Mr Victor Ogaranya Ifemeje has disclosed that the party’s structure in the state remains intact and strong.

At a press conference in Umuahia, Ifemeje debunked the insinuation of division in the party in the state, saying that there was no parallel Executive in Abia state chapter of the NNPC.

Ifemeje said the Abia state chapter of the NNPC stands with the Acting National Chairman of the party, Hon Abba Kawu Ali and National Leader of the party, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwakwaso.

He stated that the state executive under his leadership is on the right direction and solidly behind the national leaders of the party.

Ifemeje urged members of the NNPP Abia state exco to be steadfast and continue to work for the growth of the party, saying that the future of the party is brighter.

He said “Our party did well in the last election and it is the 4th largest political party in the country today, having won a Governorship election, Senate seats, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly seats in Nigeria.

He also warned detractors and those causing disaffection within the party to desist forthwith. He said the party, within her laws, would ensure disciplinary actions on erring members going forward.

Speaking during the press conference, the state publicity secretary of the party Hon Chief Adibe Kingsley Ejike said that the party is the most viable opposition in the state and will continue to constructively criticize the government of the day by holding it accountable to the people so as to ensure it delivers on it’s promises to the people.

Similarly, the State youth leader of the party Comrade Ihezie Obinna Desmond stated that youths in the party will not tolerate any anti party activities.

He said any attempt to create parallel structure within the party would be residted. He warned mischief makers to stay off the party’s activities.
