NNPCL Board Appointment: Idanre Development Assembly Congratulates Akinyelure

As Nigerians from all walks of life continue to celebrate the appointment of ex director of Wema Bank, Odua Investment Ltd and West African Portland Cement Plc, Chief Pius Akinyelure, on his appointment as chairman, Board of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), a sociocultural organization in Ondo State, the Idanre Development Assembly (IDA), has extended its felicitations to the high chief, describing him as a phenomenal leader in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.

In a letter signed by its President-General, Chief (Dr) Anthony A Omolola, IDA said it received with pride and honour, the declaration of Akinyelure as Chairman, Board of NNPCL with effect from December 1, 2023.

Noting that the appointment has been richly merited, IDA said it was a clear demonstration of President Bola Tinubu’s acknowledgment of Akinyelure’s sterling contributions to the NNPCL and its Board over the years and his track record in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.

It added: “The appointment, celebrated across board, is indeed one of the best made by President Bola Tinubu.

“We are delighted about it and fully persuaded that it will lead to a massive, positive turnaround in the affairs of the NNPCL Board.”

IDA beseeched Almighty God Almighty to grant the appointee the wisdom with which to excel in the lofty assignment.
