Just In: Former NUPENG Leader, Frank Kokori, Is Dead
The former Secretary General of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), Chief Frank Ovie Kokori, is dead.
Chief Kokori passed on in the early hours of Thursday December 7, being his 80th birthday at Mount Horeb Hospital, Warri, Delta State.
The health of the elder statesman was said to have deteriorated a week ago and was placed on oxygen until his passing his passing today.
Personal Assistant to Chief Kokori, Mr. Oke Barry, confirmed the passing of the former labour leader.
Kokori, an Urhobo, hails from Ovu town in Agbon Kingdom of Delta State.
He was a founding chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
