Kebbi Govt Donates 27 Operation Vehicles To Security Agencies

Kebbi State Governor Dr. Comrade Nasiru Idris on Thursday distributed patrol vehicles worth N2 billion to all the security agencies domiciled in the State.
The 27 operation vehicles which includes Toyota Hillux and Toyota Land cruiser to enhance operation ability of security personnel who have been battling banditry in and around the boundary areas of Niger, Zamfara and Sokoto States.
In his speech while handing over the vehicles, the governor stated that the government and the people of Kebbi State appreciate what the security agencies are doing across to State in the areas of combating activities of bandits.
Governor Idris said the people of the State have no cause not to thank them for their collective efforts, saying they have done it before and they would continue to do it again.
He noted that the immediate past administration did not provide security agents in the state any operational vehicles but having notice the complains from some arms of the security about operational vehicles his administration had deemed it necessary to allow all the security agencies benefit from this gestures.
He noted that the procurement and distributions of the vehicles was aimed to ginger them to put more efforts to what they are doing and to allow them to do their Job diligently, as the government on its part will look inward to review what it has been doing for them to allow them to be able to maintain the vehicles.
Gov. Idris also paid glowing tributes to members of the Vigilante group who have been confronting banditry in many rural areas of the state.
The break down of the vehicles to security agencies showed the Police taken 10 Hillux, the army takes 6, the DSs 4, the Civil Defense 3, Vigilante 1 and 1 vehicle to his adviser on Security.
While thanking the Governor for the gestures on behalf of security chiefs in the State, the Commissioner of Police, Kebbi State Command, Mr. Chris Aimionowane assured the Governor that the vehicles would be used judiciously for the purpose it is meant for.
