A non-governmental organisation, ACT, has petitioned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, to wade into alleged malfeasance going on in Ondo State.

The group, in a petion signed by its director of research, Kolawole Johnson and Director, Legal and Enforcement, Tolu Babaleye, drew the attention of the anti graft agency to the fraudulent activities being perpetrated by some officials of the Ondo State Government using the absence of the governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, due to illness to commit the illegality.

The group informed the EFCC that forensic investigations both locally and internationally have revealed that the signature of the governor is forged to defraud the people of the taxpayers’ money.

To arrest the ugly trend, the group called for the arrest of the Secretary to the State Government, Princess Oladunni Odu, Commissioner for Finance, Wale Akinterinwa, Speaker, Ondo House of Assembly, Olamide Oladiji, Akeredolu’s son, Jide who is the SSA on project implementation and monitoring and the chief protocol officer to Akeredolu, Bola Alabi.

EFCC acknowledged the official receipt of the petition yesterday
