New Sherrif In Ondo: Aiyedatiwa Freezes Council Accounts …Directs Deputy Chief Of Staff To Organise His Engagements

The Acting Governor of Ondo State, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has frozen the account of all the 18 local governments in the state.

Aiyedatiwa in a memo sighted by Newsnow embargoed the council accounts until further notice.

This may not be unconnected to the controversy that trailed the alleged forgery of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu’s signature by some Commissioners and state officials to siphon funds.

About #7.5 billion was said to have been spent within the time Governor Akeredolu was indisposed as running cost.

The Acting Governor has also directed the Chief of Protocol to step aside while the Deputy chief of staff, Omojuwa Olusegun continues to organise his engagements.

He said the Chief of Protocol will resume when Governor Akeredolu returns.
