Oluwole Is New Jagunmolu Aare Ona Kakanfo Of Yoruba

In line with his promise to make the entire Yoruba land safe and as such ensure harmony and peace which are hallmarks of Yoruba’s selling point: hospitality; Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba, Iba Ganiyu Abiodun Adams, has further extended his cabinet with the installation of a security icon, Oluwole Adedeji, as the Jagunmolu Are Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba land.

The choice of Oluwole as the Jagunmolu may not be unconnected with his bravery, tenacity, unfettered loyalty and love for fatherland; attributes that propel his mien, causing a boost in his business, thus making him one of the most sought after private security experts in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

The new Jagunmolu of Yoruba land, Oluwole is the Chairman, Virgo Security Services Limited, a fledgling security outfit with headquarters in the Nigerian capital city.

Prior to his installation on Sunday, Oluwole has been under the close watch of the Aare Ona Kakanfo, Adams for several years, being the Coordinator of the Oodua Progressives Congress (OPC), at the nation’s capital city, Abuja.

His appointment therefore is no news to those who have followed Oluwole;s track records as a quintessential lover of the Yoruba race who have always stood to be counted in defence of his people.

So, like a day that has for long been waited for, the Square Event Hall on Ajao Road, Off Awolowo Way, Ikeja, wore a rare look Sunday, as dignitaries from all walks of life, gathered to felicitate to the newly appointed Chiefs.

Except for a handful in mufti, it was an immaculate outing where people seem to be competing with the whiteness of their attire.

Gorgeously sewn and lavishly embroidered flowing white Agbada becloud the atmosphere. It was like the gathering of angels.

The Aare Ona Kakanfo took the lead with his flowing white Agbada with white cap and shoes to match.

It was also a bazaar of beads of various shapes and moulds adorning the thick necks of men and the dainty ones of women who gathered to add memorable colours to the day.

January 12, 2019, Iba Adams had installed 21 chiefs to assist him in his assignment as the Aare Onakakanfo, so he could achieve expected success in office.

According to him, Yoruba land was vast and he would need to delegate responsibilities to people across all the Yoruba speaking states since he could not be everywhere at the same time.

The rights to appoint Chiefs to assist the office of Aare Ona Kakanfo derived from the late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi.

Chiefs appointed by the Aare are to interface with the local Obas and traditional chiefs in their localities, to ensure peace and development in Yoruba land.

Adams urged the newly installed Chiefs to represent the council well, noting that he selected them based on their pedigrees and that it is expected that they would justify the confidence reposed in them, by serving the people diligently.
