Cabinet Dissolution: Group Hails Aiyedatiwa …Calls For Probe Of Sacked State Officials

Though long overdue, the Ondo Redemption Front (ORF), has commended Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa dissolution of the State Executive Council inherited from the late former Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.

ORF in a statement issued by its general secretary, Olufemi Lawson, says “To our group, this move reflects a commitment to ushering in a new era of governance in Ondo State, by the leadership of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and definitely awakens the hope of the citizenry for revival of its lost democratic course.

“In light of the dissolution, more pressing to Ondo Redemption Front and the people of Ondo State; is the brazen looting, embezzlement and misappropriation of the commonwealth of our people at the detriment of common good of all by some members of the said cabinet with their cronies who particularly took undue advantage of the health situation of the late governor.

” As a group, we have engaged relevant security and anti-corruption agencies to promptly commence a thorough investigation into the activities of every member of the now-disbanded Executive Council.

“By the cheer effort of the group, critical stakeholders, we were able to prevent one of them this morning from fleeing, due to alarm, raised by some patriotic citizens of our State.

“The people of Ondo State deserve transparent and responsible governance, free from the shadows of corruption.

“The Ondo Redemption Front stands firm in its advocacy for a thorough investigation, assuring the public that accountability and justice will prevail in the face of any proven misconduct.

“As we move forward, the Ondo Redemption Front encourages Governor Aiyedatiwa to continue prioritizing the interests of the people, fostering good governance, and implementing policies that will bring about positive and lasting change in Ondo State.

“Together, let us build a future that reflects the aspirations and well-being of every citizen.Let the sun shine again,” the statement said.
