NDE: FG Committed To Take Youths Out Of Joblessness …Flags Off B-NOAS’ In Birnin-Kebbi

The Director General of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE), Malam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo has called on Nigeria Youths both Males and Females to always avail themselves with the opportunity provided by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration to take them out of joblessness and be self employed through skills acquisition programmes of the NDE.
Fikpo who spoke through the Kebbi State Coordinator of the NDE, Mr. Francis Ambianto Amos at the flag off of a week long Basic Open National Apprenticeship Training Scheme ‘tagged B-NOAS’ Tuesday in Birnin-Kebbi, expressed the Federal Government commitment to make sure Youths in the Country are self employed through the various skills they want to acquire.
He stated that twenty people were carefully selected across the twenty one Local Government Areas of the State in the week long training programme, therefore they should consider themselves lucky to be among the beneficial participants of the training.
The Director General reminded them that skills acquisition is what they can do with their head and hands, adding that the Federal Government is training them free without charging them any dime.
“Don’t be deceived, the skill to acquire in this week long training is the key to your success, as a lot of people want to be part of the training but are not opportune to be selected, therefore, you should count yourselves lucky to be among the twenty people to be trained here today.” He said.
Earlier in her speech, the Director Special Skills, at the Headquarter Abuja, Hajia Amina Shettima Lema, who was represented by an Assistant Director, Alhaji Maman Abubakar Muhammed, urged participants to hold onto the skills they are about to acquire because it is a life skill training which comprises of discipline, focus, time consciousness and management.
She urged them to face their training squarely, either Tailoring, Barbing, Hair dressing etc, and allow communication skill to be their watch words, they should be free to ask questions and must not be rude to their Trainers and handle the various machines they would be using with uttermost care.
