‘Sultan Is An Institution That All Of Us Must Jealousy Guard’, Shettima Warns Gov Aliyu

The Vice president, Senator Kashim Shettima has sent a strong signal that the governor of Sokoto, Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto must not tamper with the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar 111 because of the rumour that he might be removed.
The news spread life wildfire on Monday when the leader of MURIC, Prof Ishaq Akintola, raised the alarm that the Governor was planning to remove the Sultan.
Speaking at the North West security summit in Katsina on Monday, VP Shettima sent a strong warning to Governor Ahmad Aliyu who was represented by his deputy.
He said; ” Our father who is a permanent feature in a developmental issues in this country, His Emminence , the Sultan of Sokoto. I want to use him as point of reference to recognise and appreciate all the Royal fathers present here today. And to the Deputy Governor of Sokoto , I have a simple message for you. Yes, Sultan is Sultan of Sokoto, but he is much more than that.
