Lagos State League 2024/2025:Goals Rain In Matchday One In Mainland Conference

It was excitement galore in the three matches played Wednesday in matchday one played across different centres in the Mainland Conference of the 2024/2025 Lagos State Football league.

In the matches of the day played simultaneously, Dickson Nwaekaeme’s boys DN10 thrashed SGH Sports 3-0 at their Ibeju-Lekki pitch; at Isheri Olofin, home side Bucknor FC forced Team 360 to a 1-1, while Ighalo FA sponsored by Nigeria international striker Odion Ighalo went away to Agbowa, Ikorodu to claim the scalp of home side Unizee FC, 2-1.

Speaking to the league media team, CEO of the Lagos State League, Wale Joseph, expressed satisfaction with outcome of the matchday one games.

“The matches played today are pointers that this year’s league championship, shall be exciting, explosive and competitive, even as the teams have displayed discipline and sportsmanship”.

He went on to admonish the participating teams to continue to eschew acts that might bring the beautiful game to disrepute in the state. 

The veteran sports journalist commended the divisional football associations in the state, for their cooperation.

While promising that the league body, with the able support of the LSFA, led by Hajji Gafar Liameed, shall remain committed to delivering a top class, free and fair league championship, that would bring both economic and sporting benefits to all stakeholders and investors of football in the state.
