Top Politician Repairs FG’s Road, Bridges In Kebbi

A high ranking politician and business giant in Kebbi State, Alhaji Abba Aliero in his philanthropic intervention has repaired two critical bridges on Federal roads domicield in Kebbi State portion of the road corridor, the Rara Bridge in Koko-Besse Local Government and Liba Bridge in Maiyama Local Government Areas of the State respectively.

The repairs have eased transportation challenges of human and goods from the Southern part of the Country in recent months due to flood occasioned by torrential rainfalls.

 Commenting on the repairs, the State Governor, Comrade Nasir Idris said he informed the Federal Ministry of Works on the poor condition of this road because of its international importance, adding that This routes is vital, not only to our state but to neighboring countries that use them daily.

Governor Idris also stressed the need  for our local contractors the opportunity for federal and state projects, adding: “I will raise this issue with the Federal Government and advocate for our capable local contractors to be given such opportunities.”

He noted that government alone cannot meet all societal needs and called on well meaning individuals to support development efforts. 

“We thank Alhaji Abba Aliero for using his personal resources and equipment to save these bridges.” He said.

In his remarks, Alhaji Abba Aliero explained that he undertook the repairs to prevent the roads from being cut off and to assist commuters, noting that the route also serves as an international link to neighboring countries. 

He expressed gratitude to Governor Idris for allowing him to carry out the intervention, in the interest of humanity.
