Lagos 2027: Is JANDOR Heir Apparent?

He took the state by storm in 2022 when he left the ruling All Progressives Congress to the opposition People’s Democratic Party. Dr Abdu-Azeez Olajide Adediran, Convener of Lagos4Lagos, seems to have found favour before the executive governor of Lagos, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu.The love shown towards JANDOR by Governor Sanwo-Olu since he returned to the APC is unquantified. When JANDOR met with Sanwo-Olu shortly after his returns, the Lagos Governor was full of kind words towards the founder of Lagos4Lagos .
JANDOR might have warm his ways to the heart of Lagos helmsman that something BIG might be in the offing for him. Though, a lot depended on the national leader of the APC, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to determine who succeeds Sanwo-Olu. It’s not impossible that JANDOR who since returning to the APC has pledged to work for the second term of President Tinubu and whoever emerged as the governorship candidate of the party in Lagos to have been tipped for the top job. He has also demonstrated this without wavering.
During the July local government election in Lagos , JANDOR’s Lagos4Lagos was everywhere to mobilise for the APC. His rappoachment with the President’s son, Seyi Tinubu is so cordial that even when JANDOR declared recently to run for the office of governor of Lagos state, APC, though yet to open the governorship nomination seems to be at home with his declaration.
Recently, JANDOR hosted the Igbo Community in Lagos to allay their fears that the ongoing demolition of illegal buildings is not targeted towards any ethnic group but to clean up the state. This may have further endeared him to Governor Sanwo-Olu.
It’s not, therefore, surprising when Governor Sanwo-Olu took him to Ekiti State to commission some projects done by his colleague, Mr Abiodun Oyebanji. A footage of the Ekiti State project commissioning saw Governor Sanwo-Olu and JANDOR walking through the airport into the private jet to Aso-Ekiti.
Political pundits have since begun a permutations: Is JANDOR heir apparent for Lagos 2027.
